Tid Bits of Marblehead

“Tid Bits of Marblehead” are wood offcuts created from the making of our mailboxes, bird houses and other products that the Captain has cut out on his table saw. Instead of discarding them, we have developed a way to repurpose these pieces. Each piece of wood is a random size and shape. The Captain sands them and then chamfers the edges to create a smoother shape. They are then hand-painted by Carol with a variety of Marblehead scenes: a winter skating party at Redd’s Pond; folks having summer fun at Devereux beach; a quaint street in the old town of Marblehead; the interesting lobster shanties found by the harbor. Each of the paintings are unique and no two are alike.

“Tid Bits of Marblehead” are displayed on a tall wooden post where each one is attached by a piece of Velcro making them easy to preview and to remove. Each can easily be taken down to be measured to determine the price. They are sold for $2.00 a square inch.

We suggest that you go on the product photo of the “Tid Bits” and enlarge the photo to select the one(s) that you are interested in and contact us. That way we can tell you the price for the one(s) you have selected. If you are visiting our studio/workshop in person, you can select the one you want and we can help you measure it to find the price.

It’s a fun and interactive way to find a hand-made, hand-painted unique one of a kind piece that has been modified from its original intended use to fit a new purpose as an artistic creation.
